In response to the Covid-19 outbreak, we have made the difficult decision that Kiran will stop seeing patients from Friday 20th March until further notice. Due to the nature of his work where close contact is unavoidable, we feel it is the only course of action we can take to ensure the safety of our patients and their families. Kiran is still offering phone and video call support to all of his patients (which has already been implemented and is working well) so please don't hesitate to call us if you need to speak to him.
We will up-date this website on a regular basis and will, of course, let you know when Kiran will be seeing patients again.
Regular hand washing and social distancing remain key methods of prevention from spreading person to person. The virus enters the body through inhaled droplets from coughs, sneezes or rubbing eyes, nose or mouth with contaminated hands.
We are all at risk from this previously unknown strain but some are more at risk than others. This includes the elderly and already ill patients such as asthmatics, people with previous lung damage, diabetics and people with cardiovascular conditions.
However, as shown through recent trials in a northern Italian town near Venice, testing and the strict quarantine of infected people and their contacts seems to have stopped the emergence of new cases.
